Meet Dr. Haque

Oak City Dermatology was founded by board-certified and award-winning dermatologist, Maryam Haque.

Prior to returning to the South, Dr. Haque practiced ten years in private practice and academic centers, including the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, which is considered to be the foremost dermatology department in the country. She brings her experience and knowledge to the triangle area.   

A Louisiana native, she was accepted into a competitive Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medical Degree program at Drexel University, where she graduated summa cum laude. 

While in medical school, she was awarded a grant to do research at Harvard Medical School.  She was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated ranked 1st in her medical school graduating class of over 250 students.  

She was awarded the Most Outstanding Woman of her Graduating Medical School Class. 

She completed her internship at a top internal medicine program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and returned to Philadelphia to complete her dermatological residency at Drexel University.  

As a result of her dedication to education, she served as a course instructor teaching dermatology curriculum to medical students.  She was appointed Chief Resident in her final year of training.  She has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and been invited to present at national dermatology meetings.   

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the North Carolina Dermatology Association, and a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.  

Meet Brianna Stolz, PA-C

Brianna is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in both medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. 

Brianna earned her undergraduate degree at NC State University and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University. She is passionate about patient-centered care, with a special interest in skin cancer prevention and early detection. Brianna finds great fulfillment in surgically removing skin cancers and helping patients feel at ease throughout the entire process. She is also dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin through medically guided skin care and personalized cosmetic treatments. 

Outside of work, Brianna enjoys peloton workouts, traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter. 


Meet Meghan, Practice Manager

Meghan proudly serves as our practice manager and one of our medical assistants overseeing your care

Meghan has called the Raleigh area her home now for the past 20 years. She has worked in the medical field since 2020. She will greet you with a smile and help alongside the doctor during your visit. Her favorite part of dermatology is assisting Dr. Haque in surgical procedures and in her words “fighting and cutting out cancer everyday”. When she is not in the office, she enjoys time with her husband and friends trying out new restaurants and traveling to new destinations. She also spends time visiting family in other states including her daughter and son-in-law. She also very much enjoys her rewarding work in volunteering her time in helping teach others the Bible.

Meet Katie, MA

Katie serves as one of our medical assistants here in the office overseeing your care.

 Katie has served as a medical assistant at Oak City Dermatology for over three years. She was born and raised in Cary, where she then went on the attend North Carolina State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. Her favorite part about being a medical assistant is watching the confidence return in young adults who have struggled with acne. She also loves performing cosmetic services such as microneedling and chemical peels! In addition to her work as a medical assistant, Katie enjoys marketing and posting on our social media. In her free time, you will find Katie spending quality time with her friends and family. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and shopping; however, most weekends you will find her on Jordan Lake!

Meet Cayda, MA

Cayda serves as one of our medical assistants here in the office overseeing your care

Cayda is a Raleigh native and a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she earned her degree in Biological Sciences. With over two years of experience in the medical field—including her previous role as a pediatric medical assistant—she brings both compassion and clinical knowledge to her work at Oak City Dermatology.

As a medical assistant, Cayda enjoys building relationships with patients and working closely with Bri, PA-C, to assist with in-office procedures. She’s passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every patient who walks through the door.

Outside of the office, Cayda stays active by walking or working out, and spending time shopping or cheering on both the South Carolina Gamecocks and the NC State Wolfpack. 

Meet Nyla, Front Desk Receptionist

Nyla serves as our front desk receptionist and assists in various administrative duties.

 Nyla, a New York native, has 3 years of experience in customer service and administration in the wellness industry. As our receptionist, she brings a warm, helpful attitude to the office, ensuring every patient feels comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive. When not in the office, she enjoys crafting and designing costumes and being a mom to her rambunctious bengal kitten!
