Scheduling & Office Policies

You may schedule your appointment online by clicking the blue “REQUEST APPOINTMENT” icon in the bottom right hand corner of our site, or by calling our office at 919-283-1099.

Prior to scheduling online, you will need access to your email and your insurance cards (if applicable).

If you schedule your appointment online, you will receive an initial email confirmation indicating your appointment request was received.  A second confirmation email will be sent if your appointment was accepted.  If you do not receive the second confirmation email after 3 business days, please call our office.  


Prior to your appointment:

To reduce your wait time in the lobby*, please complete the Patient portal set-up and forms.  

  1. Verify your email address.  When you book your appointment, you will receive an email from noreply@ezderm.com to verify your email.  

  2. Create a username & password.  

  3. Answer all intake questions on the portal site. 

  4. Sign consent form, located under the “Appointments” tab at the top right of the screen.

Insurance and Payment Policy:

  • Please call your insurance company to ensure we are in your network.

  • Payment is due at time of your appointment, including copay, deductibles, and co-insurance depending on your insurance plan.  If you have questions about your coverage, please call your insurance company. 

  • Credit card on file is required for all patients and will be used for balances, delinquent payment, or if a refund is due.

Biopsy and Bloodwork Policy:

There could be additional charges from outside laboratories for any biopsies preformed or bloodwork ordered. We recommend following up with these specific labs and your insurance if you have any bills or outstanding payments required.

Late Show Policy: 

If you arrive greater than ten minutes after your appointment time, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.  We appreciate your understanding that this policy is to ensure the care and safety of you and all our patients to be treated in a clean, safe environment.   

Cancellation Policy: 

We require a 48-hour notice for cancellation.  This allows for others on our wait-list for appointments to be seen.  If cancellations are made within 48 hours, a cancellation fee will be applied. 

Appointment Policy:

When scheduling please note that a yearly skin cancer screening is a complete check of all moles and documented as necessary. If there are specific skin concerns not related to a yearly skin cancer screening, these will be addressed at a separate appointment.
